Jurassic Kayak Tours

Now here’s an outdoor adventure experience that you won’t forget in a hurry. If you have ever fancied doing something really exciting over a weekend then check out the Jurassic Kayak Tours run by Secondwind Watersports.

Terry and his team of instructors will take you kayaking along the Dorset coast in what can only be described as some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the UK.

Great for small groups or even as an activity for a Weymouth Stag Party, you get to see some of the most unspoilt Jurassic Coastline right from the water.

We went out last season with one of his head instructore and although it wasn’t a particular sunny day we soon forgot the weather as we left Lulworth Cove and paddled down towards Ringstead. Seeing the coastline and Jurassic rock formations from a completly different perspective is truly amazing.

Jurassic Kayak Tours at Durdle Door

Our trip took us more or less all the way down to Ringstead, stopping off at Bats Head for lunch. (You should have seen us trying to beach the kayaks after paddling all that way). After a top up with food and water it was back in the kayaks and paddling back up towards Durdle Door.

We had a great time surfing the small swells around some of the reefs and because you are never more than 50 metres from the cliffs or beach you do feel very safe.

You can probably tell we are still pretty stoked with our adventure even though it was getting on for a year ago - and yes, we ill definitely be doing the Jurassic Kayak Tour again.
